Not only nature, but people have taken care so that the settlement contributes to the harmony of the landscape of Platys Gialos beach. Despite the intense touristic development, the settlement has preserved some of the features of the old agricultural character it used to have: cultivation extended on terraces climb the slopes of the hills, the characteristic reed – beds at the small gorges, the gardens and trees discarded here and there make an idyllic environment and give the promise of relaxation and calm.
